The honest summary: NextGame stores no data from your gaming account. The analysis is ephemeral, the site has no sign-up, and the only first-party cookies are your ad consent and your language choice. This page spells that out — and what changes when ads are on.
1. Your gaming account data (ephemeral processing)
To analyze your profile, the app receives a read credential — the PlayStation NPSSO token, or the return code from the Nintendo login (exchanged for a temporary 15-minute token). With it, it reads your game list and hours from Sony’s/Nintendo’s own APIs.
- Nothing is stored. There is no database, account, history or saved profile. The credential and your game list exist only in the server’s memory during the request and are discarded with the response.
- Nothing goes to a log. Request bodies are never recorded, and error messages pass through a sanitizer that strips tokens.
- Nothing is shared. Credentials only leave the server to reach Sony’s and Nintendo’s APIs. Your library data is never used for advertising nor handed to third parties.
2. Technical records (logs)
Like any server, NextGame records the method, URL and status of requests, and keeps IP addresses in memory to rate-limit abuse. These records do not include the content of what you send and are not cross-referenced with any identity — the site does not know who you are.
3. Cookies
The site sets two first-party cookies, neither carrying any account data:
ng_consent, which stores your choice about ads for 12 months (only
created when ads are on and you answer the notice), and ng_lang,
set only if you use the language switcher, so the site opens in the language you
picked. We use no first-party analytics cookies of our own.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense) and consent
When enabled, ads are served by Google AdSense. NextGame follows the prior consent rule:
- No advertising script is loaded before you decide in the consent notice — not for measurement, not “just to warm things up”.
- If you accept, Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Depending on the site configuration, ads may be limited to non-personalized even after acceptance.
- If you decline, either no ads are shown, or only non-personalized ads are (based on the page context, not on you), according to the site’s current configuration.
- The choice lasts 12 months and can be revisited at any time via the “Ad preferences” link in the home page footer.

5. Affiliate links
Some store buttons (for example the recommendation’s “Buy” button, which leads to
Amazon or Steam depending on the platform) use affiliate links: if you buy
through them, the site earns a small commission from the store,
at no extra cost to you. These links are marked with
rel="sponsored" and involve sending none of your data — attribution
is handled by the store itself, on its own domain.
6. Your rights (GDPR / LGPD)
You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to withdraw consent. In practice, since NextGame retains no personal data, there is no database to export from or erase — processing ends together with your request. Ad consent can be withdrawn from the footer (or by clearing the site’s cookies). For any request or question, use the contact below.
